Product and packaging for an aspirational women’s personal care brand, with a focus on thoughtfulness and wellbeing.
Having identified our target demographic, we began the visual exploration of moods, themes, colours and materials. It was important to ensure that the ‘thoughtful’ nature of the brand was at the forefront of the mind whilst developing the collection. Inspiration for the scents and ingredients were taken from nature and products were crafted to provide enriching experiences and moments of quiet self-reflection.
Wanderflower’s packaging posed an interesting challenge for us with the delicate ceramics and glass bottles that would need extra support in packaging, as well as the strict adherence to recyclable materials. Strong durable cardboard tubes were chosen and to ensure no waste we called out the potential second use for the tubes allowing it to be less wasteful. It was also plastic free and fully recyclable too.
We also suggested that the wooden box packaging could be used as storage for keepsakes and jewellery. This was illustrated using hand-drawn iconography and printed on all packaging to communicate ethical and sustainable features and benefits.
The product line was created with the gift market in mind, creating different solutions and price points within the range. The collection features organic illustrations alongside warming foils and tactile packaging with strong narrative, guiding the user through a mindful ritual throughout the gifting experience.
